Our Story

Hi, I'm Carol Lin.

Leaf & Letter started at my kitchen table in North Kingstown with succulents in hand-decorated pots and little message cards tucked inside. Then came oyster shell dishes, then trays, and then I picked up a pair of pliers to make earrings and never really put them down.

Now I mostly make jewelry: freshwater pearls, toggle necklaces with coastal charms, huggies, stackable bracelets, and wire-wrapped rings. I still make trays, oyster dishes and wine stoppers too, because I like them.

Everything is made by hand here in Rhode Island, in small batches, with 14K gold-filled chain and beads, stainless steel, real freshwater pearls and natural stones. No two pearls or stones are the same, so no two pieces are either.

You can find me most weekends at local farmers and artisan markets, where I also do permanent jewelry using locking jump rings (no soldering). Come say hi.
